Carrara has been a professional since 2001 and represented top teams like Lampre, Barloworld and Quickstep during his career. The Italian was contracted to Vacansoleil last year due to his experience in huge events and his talent on selective terrain. He turned out to be a good choice as he showed off his skills many times over on hilly terrain and won the Circuit of Lorraine. Carrara was also ready to help his team mates to give them a higher place in the rankings. Although Carrara is turning thirty on the 25th March he still feels he has plenty to give!
