Mouris lived up to his reputation in time trails after claiming 4th place in the opening stage of the Tour of Spain. Mouris, originally from Amstelveen, competed twice in the Olympics in the track events, although his main focus is to compete in road races for his first season with Vacansoleil. He came second in the pre-season opening stage of the Three days of West Flanders and finished third in the final rankings. He also went on to compete in the Tour of Spain at the end of the season. He will be a good addition to the team for 2010.
