Traksel celebrated the birth of his daughter Maud on 5th December 2009. Although the cycling season gave him no wins, he did finish in 2nd place in the second stage of the Three day West-Vlaanderen and third in the Vlaanderen in Koolskamp Championship. The new dad is hoping to show off his abilities in 2010 during the spring events. Traksel is 28 years old and is in the prime of his career and is aiming to achieve good results in April events.
